Hi! I'm Gloria Cilliers, award-winning journalist, writer and content and communications strategist. I founded Proud North in 2021 to help insurance leaders and businesses with content, thought leadership and communications strategies that earn trust, visibility, citability and proven engagement.

I've been writing professionally for 24+ years and spent the last decade in Canadian P&C Insurance as journalist, editor, strategic thought leadership partner, marketing and communications specialist and senior executive communications consultant and writer to some of the industry's most recognised insurance leaders and brands.

My passion for writing and telling stories started as a crime and political reporter in South Africa. Those journalistic instincts never left me. Whether I'm interviewing a senior executive for a trade publication, turning a subject matter expert’s thoughts into citable content, or helping a CEO craft their industry presence, I'm always mining for the insights that make people - and, as it turns out, AI too - pay attention.
